Trying new things, or rediscovering activities we onced loved can feel challenging as we get older. We worry whether we can still do the things we used to do, or are fit and strong enough to try new things.

Hike Fit is about empowering women to discover the spectacular alpine and expedition trails surrounding Albury / Wodonga whilst building confidence, fitness and participation in hiking on our local trails, with my full support.

What is Hike Fit?

Hike Fit is a comprehensive membership that provides a structured strength and fitness program as well as guided hiking opportunities that will connect you with a wonderful community of like minded women. 

Providing you with the skills you need to be physically active and tackle your next hiking adventure.

2022 hike Fit Training

As a Hike Fit member you will have exclusive access to our full day hikes on some of Australia’s most significant trails throughout the year.

Hike Fit will include:

Hiking specific, strength, mobility & endurance training plan delivered via the Real Girls Sweat app

1 group fitness session each week*

regular exclusive local guided training hikes exploring Albury/Wodonga and surrounds (timetable updated each month)

weekly scheduled self guided training hikes for you to complete at a time that suits you + join other Hike Fit members and explore together.

2025 Adventures

AUTUMN ADVENTURE - 10 March - 16 May

This 10-week program provides a structured strength and fitness program as well as guided hiking opportunities that will connect you with a wonderful community of like-minded women.

The intake includes five exclusive guided training hikes exploring Albury/Wodonga and surrounding areas, including sections of the Hume and Hovell expedition track.

Hike Fit is designed to provide you with the physical fitness and skills you need to tackle your next hiking adventure.

After completing the 10-week program, you will have exclusive access to our next full-day hike. This hike will explore section 4 of the historic Hume and Hovell expedition track, starting near Tumbarumba.

Dates: 10 March – 16 May

Cost: $635 non-members ($450 Real Girls Sweat members)* 

Guided Hike Dates: 15/3 –  22/3 –  5/412/410/5^

*Pay in full or weekly  ^10/5 TBC

Hume and Hovell Full-Day Hike Weekend - 16-18 May

Date: Friday 16 – Sunday 18 May

Cost: TBC 

Hike: Henry Angel Trackhead to Mannus Lake via Big Hill

This is a challenging but beautiful full-day hike along Burra Creek down to the Tumbarumba Creek valley before climbing Mannus Ridge through Bogandyera Nature Reserve and descending to Mannus Lake.

Along the way, you will see waterfalls, old mining sites and hopefully some interesting local fauna and flora. Watch for wombats, echidnas, platypus, deer, lyrebirds and black cockatoos.

It is historically very significant for both the gold mining evidence along Burra Creek and because the explorers Hume and Hovell followed this same route and first viewed the Snowy Mountains from Big Hill.

If you want to improve your hiking fitness but cannot join us for the final full-day hike – you are still welcome to join this program and enjoy the benefit of gaining the skills and fitness needed to tackle your next hiking adventure while connecting with a fantastic community of women.

Full-day weekend hike costs are not included in the Hike Fit program price.
