Winter Wellness Challenge Day 15 – Eat seasonal fruits

Day 16 - Eat winter fruit(1)Many of us have become used to being able to buy most fruits all year round, even when they’re out of season. But, buying seasonal produce will generally be tastier and cheaper, will have less of an environmental impact, and provide better nutritional variety in your diet!

Fruits currently in season include: apples, citrus (orange, mandarins etc), pears, kiwifruit, nashi and persimmons.

Your challenge today is to enjoy your recommend daily 2 serves of fruit, choosing from what’s in season. Whole, sliced or diced, raw or baked, or perhaps mixed as a winter fruit salad

Give it a go today and share your ideas and photos on our page!
